This Monday I installed a full hood film on a BMW M3. I did an external wash and prep on the car using some of my favorite products from Opti, Maguiar's, Xpel, and Chemical Guys. I used my Graphtec plotter to cut one large sheet of Xpel Ultimate Paint protection film. Using one large XPEL sheet (60 inches wide) allows for full hood coverage and decreases the amount of lines seen on the car. Before you spend the time and money on any installation make sure that the installer is certified and trained appropriately. You will want to know if the "shop" is saying they are certified or if their technicians are actually trained and certified. The installation is critical and can be done with perfection or completely botched. Also be sure that your detailer is insured in the event that something does happen, as we all know accidents to occur.
